IE7 Not Supported on Windows Vista!!

Posted on December 28th, 2007 in X-Files by Bayo Oyekole

I have seen a lot of silly error messages, but this is the most hilarious so far. A colleague of mine tried to launch the installer/updater for Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista and got the error message shown below - Internet explorer is not supported on this operating system. I couldn’t stop laughing: IE7 installs even on Windows XP, and comes bundled with Windows Vista.

IE7 Not supported on Windows Vista

Seriously, Microsoft developers need to work on their notification messages. See this older but equally hilarious error message.

at least they tell you what went wrong, some programs just conk out with nary an error message. And i have to be honest, i think Microsofts band of over paid developers write better notification messages than some companys i know.
